About the Lava Water Accommodation Miðhraun
The Lava Water Accommodation is located at a farm in West Iceland, at the Southern part of the Snaefellsnes peninsula. The farm is located right below the edge of a 3-4000 years old basalt lava landscape from the volcano Rauðakúla, standing above the farm along with a vast line of other scenic mountains making the farm a beautiful sight.
The farm is an organic sheep farm, which also has horses, Icelandic settlement hens and cocks, and few dogs, contributing to the farms colorful atmosphere. All our apartments are modern and well equipped self-catering apartments.
The Lava Water Accommodation is named after the underground hot water field that provides us with geothermal energy and the major source of clean cold water that streams from the lava.
